Texas Foodies TV viewers – we have got exciting new episodes coming your way! Following the COVID pandemic, we have had the opportunity to reach out to extraordinary new restauranteurs who are utilizing virtual kitchen space to elevate delivery and pickup options. Forget fast food. This is made-from-scratch cooking that you can enjoy on the go or delivered to your doorstep. Co-Owners Sam and Mike created Furlough Brothers to share their love of delicious, filling sandwiches. Their concepts quickly evolved to include Packin’ Bowls, Healthy Bowls by Furlough Brothers and Furlough Salads – a healthy, yet filling, option for people who want food that is good for you but also tastes great. Sam shares with Texas Foodies TV viewers how he and Mike were given this unique opportunity when they were both “furloughed” from their jobs on the same day. So they met, discussed opportunities and decided it was time to leave the hotel industry and start their own venture. When asked about signature dishes – they recommend the Mediterranean OG Bowl as it combines some of the components Chef Mike grew up on. Their made-from-scratch dressings are also a fan favorite. They recently expanded to include 2 locations – one in Dallas and the other in Addison.
